To go along with our Haunted Campgrounds post, here is a list of Theme Parks, Resorts, Zoos, Museums and other businesses who get into the Halloween spirit. Theses events are all family friendly, depending on your scary levels!
Theme Parks: Knott’s Berry Farm, Busch Gardens, Legoland, Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios in Hollywood & Orlando, Sea World in Orlando & San Diego, Six Flags, Lagoon, etc. – Locate the theme park closest to you to see what frightening haunts are happening this month.
Festivals & Community Events: Half Moon Bay in Northern California, Chicago’s Navy Pier and Kids’ Night on Broadway Halloween (NY). Check your local community events calendar to see if there are any Pumpkin, Harvest, Autumn or Halloween festivals in your community. Also, look for local pumpkin patches!
Zoos: Most local zoos have trick-or-treat events for the kids. Call your local zoo to see if they have a Boo at the Zoo event. Roger Williams Park Zoo – Providence, RI.
Ghost Hunts: Visit famous places around the world that are haunted! Visit Savannah – Georgia, Gettysburg – Pennsylvania, New Orleans’ St. Louis Cemetery, Haunted Castles in Wales – Great Britain, Waynesville – Ohio, or visit Salem – Massachusetts.
There is sure to be a haunted attraction (fake or real) near you. Check your community calendars, dress up the kids and enjoy this Halloween season!
